WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment, formerly World Wrestling Federation (WWF). RAW doesn't stand for anything, it's just in capitals thats alll.

WWE's shows are:
Monday Night RAW
Friday Night Smackdown!
ECW
Heat
A.M RAW (US only)
Saturday Nights Main Events (US only)

Then there is TNA (spit) Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, created by former WWE wrestler Jeff Jarrett.

Their shows are
TNA iMPACT
TNA Today (internet Youtube show)

Then there are the small wrestling company's like ROH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_Honor) (Ring of Honor) and CZW (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Zone_Wrestling) (Combat Zone Wrestling

There is alot of current wrestling company's out there.

Back in the early/mid/late 90's there was the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWE(WWF).

WCW's shows were called:
Monday Nitro
Thunder

WCW was bought by Vince McMahon after it went bust or something. Then came on the brilliant invasion storyline with WCW, which ECW then joined with

ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling)

This isn't the same ECW of today. It was started in 1993 and went bankrupt in 2001.
