The bees round here are at least double the size I'm used to, so it's not pleasant. It's like a small mouse flying toward you.

Nowt. I have no compunction in killing them. When we went to Spain last year we bought a wasp spray. Didn't half come in handy and it was fun seeing them spin away after we sprayed them

Never kill bees though. They will not touch you if you don't stand screaming and waving your arms about. The OH is the same. It's worse if you wear bright clothing because then they think you're a flower.
