    Default Esthesioneuroblastoma

    Chantal Sebire
Esthesioneuroblastoma, or basicly just known as ENB an uncommon form of cancer of the nasal. It causes an unsightly tumor and can be very aggressive.
The tumor is usually gray or pink in sight and when operated on it can bleed non-stop.
French woman Chantal Sebire, from Dijon, suffers from this condition and wants euthanasia legalised in France so she can end her life. She can't smell, can't taste food, nor can she see properly and when children see her in the street they run away.
Interestingly there have only been 200 cases of esthesioneuroblastoma recorded.

I am wondering why she needs euthanasia to be legalised to end her own life?

I don't know. Maybe she just doesn't want to go by self suicide.

I'm not a huge fan of euthanasia to begin with, but surely this condition doesn't warrant suicide. It's pretty nasty, but there are worse things.

I can't believe there isn't more that medical science can do to help her.

If there's only been 200 cases of ENB then it's obviously a rare case. And probably not much can be done since it bleeds forever.

She doesn't need to kill herself anymore.

Yeah, it seems so. She's been found dead at her home two days after the court ruled against euthanasia, the cause of death is unknown.

There's a video of the news report here:
