Berwick-upon-Tweed want to be Scottish

The towns folk of Berwick-upon-Tweed have voted for their town to be Scottish and not English.
The poll was setup by a TV Company and about 60% voted for to be Scottish.

went for hols last year beautiful place but full of chavy gits

I thought the way to change borders was by having a massive battle

Makes sense as Berwickshire is in Scotland and Berwick itself was originally Scottish but has been English for about 400-500 years now. There has also been a precedent set for this type of thing. Before local government reorganisation in 1974, Monmouthshire was considered part of England. It then became Gwent and although Gwent has now been split into smaller authorities it is still part of Wales. Maybe the same could happen with Berwick and the Royal Border Bridge could actually be on the border at last.
