Have you ever heard of the Antediluvian period? Noah was one of eight people to survive this period, and was indeed 950 years old based on a 360 day calendar... Read me (it does relate to the flood). Much like the Egyptian calendar (Moses was egyptian, afterall)

From what I can remember, the Antidiluvian period is much like the Titans in Greek mythology - in fact, most theologies hold to a creation myth where order is created from chaos. The Antidiluvians where giants and monsters, along with biblical craetures such as the nephilim, who were angels that mated with human women. That's why God sent the great flood - allegedly...

So Noah could have very well been very tall...
