I must say it was surprising how they got over their superstitions and decided to go ahead with the surgery. The child was revered in her village by the rest of the villagers, and people came from miles around to see her.

I doubt you'd be alone. In the programme I watched about her tonight the doctor that operated on her also visited the home of a couple of conjoined twins joined at the head.

The twin's father charged people to see them and wouldn't even discuss surgery. He wouldn't even allow mention of it, but the twins kept saying they'd like to be separated.
