A 29 year old tennis coach has been sentenced to a two year stretch in prison for having a sexual relationship with a 13 year old pupil.

Here's the twist though, it was a lesbian affair. The 13 year old girl who cannot be named for legal reasons, and due to not knowing her name, became besotted with Claire Lyte, a former top tennis player herself, and they had a year long affair. The affair ended when the girls mother returned home to find her daughter participating in oral sex with her coach.

The jury at the trail heard how Lyte used to wear the young girls knickers, they were found in a bag with some massage oil.

Not everyday you get a lezza paedo in the press.

When I heard the story on the car radio this morning I'd assumed the tennis coach was a bloke - the gender of the 'perpetrator' wasn't mentioned. But the report was also worded in such a way that suggested there had been no coersion or force, and the 'victim' had given consent (although too young to do so under English law).

As you'll see from this link, the age of consent varies considerably from country to country and is for example 13 for both hetero and homo sexual activity in Spain;

Ofcourse in this case the age difference is so great that it's plain the coach abused her role in allowing the child's infatuation to run to it's logical conclusion, but hey, as they say at Wimbledon,

I suppose it rubbishs the notion that it's only men that undertake this sort of thing. I somehow doubt people will gather outside her house with pitchforks and so forth either.
