Good - banning fox hunting was always one of Tony's shitter ideas.

Foxes are fucking vermin and hunting them is part of what it means to be British. And the foxes love it anyway!

Let's hope common sense prevails under Gordon.

I doubt it will happen. It went through Parliament in the right way, this is just because of the Countryside Alliance throwing their toys out the pram because they're not allowed to abuse animals anymore.

    My two cents:

I wouldn't mind so much if the posh twats eat the fox after killing it.

Why go to all that trouble with the chasing and the dogs and all that if the fox is just a pest?

Have these a-holes thought about traps or poison like with other vermin?

No, they haven't. Because they get some sort of sexual thrill from slaughtering defenseless little critters.

Traps and poison are even more cruel than hunting!

If that's the case then it's up to the Government to bring in legislation about that too, rather than rescind the Hunting Bill.

Besides, it's the sporty aspect which is as bad as the cruelty. The fox is chased which adds to its stress.

I think the concept of hunting is really detrimental to the morals of the this country because it teaches kids (and adults) that it's OK to pick on a living creature which can't defend itself. That's only a step away from teaching them it's OK to pick on other people who can't defend themselves. It's just immoral basically.

I would assume the majority of fox hunters are also skiers, so I am with the foxes on this one. Keep it banned.

There are a variety of other 'cruel' sports, but no fox hunting.

I don't think Britain's morality has been on the slide since the sixties because two generations of our young folk have been corrupted by fox hunting!

At the end of the day most hunts are just glorified piss-ups, and most strong, fit foxes are well able to avoid capture.

Being torn to pieces by a pack of hounds may not sound very nice, but it's pretty quick and no more than the little fuckers deserve, given the damage they do to livestock and poultry.

It's fair to say that by far and away the cruelest aspect of hunting is the treatment of the hounds themselves - there's very little in the way of tea and sympathy for them if they pick up an injury, I can tell you.
