Meteor crash makes Peruvians ill

Hundreds of Peruvians have become mysteriously ill after an object believed to be a meteor crashed onto a remote area in Peru.
It left a deep crater in the somewhere in the town of Carancas and is apparently spewing out some sort of gas.

People who have been going near the said crator have reported to have headaches, vomiting and nausea soon afterwards.
