Jane Tomlinson loses cancer fight

43 year old Jane Tomlinson who suffered from terminal cancer has died after a seven year battle. In June the mother of three was made CBE for her charitable services and managed to raise over £1.75 million in a series of athletic type challenges.
Ms Tomlinson was diagnosed with metastatic uncureable breast cancer in 2000 and was told she had six months to live.

Jane died at the St Gemmas Hospice in Leeds at 9pm on Monday evening.

Aww, RIP Jane Tomlinson. She did quite alot in those few years.

i did a 10k run back in june in leeds in aid of her appeal, i'm glad i did it.

she was a great woman

I suppose it had to happen eventually, she can certainly be very proud of what she achieved in the time she had left though and certainly showed what can be achieved if you put your mind to it.

I was reading about her at work today, her family said they were really taken aback when she said she was going to join a gym after she'd been diagnosed with terminal cancer, they said it was really out of character.
