Drunk birthday teen bites stranger
A drunkern teenager behaved "like a mad dog" on his 18th birthday and bit a stranger.
Christopher Daley aged 18, formerly of Blackpool, but now of no fixed address, admitted assaulting John Walker. He was sentenced to 120 days imprisonment by Blackpool magistrates.
Don Green, prosecuting, said Mr Walker was in a friend's garden in Clare Street, South Shore, on Sunday March 14 at 4.30pm, when Daley appeared.
Daley threw down his T-shirt, jumped into the garden and started raging incoherently before punching Mr Walker twice.
In self-defence, Mr Walker put the defendant in a neck hold and Daley bit him on the arm.
Ashley Fisher, defending, said his client had been celebrating his 18th birthday and had drunk so much he could not recall the assault.
Daley had spent his 17th birthday in custody so he had gone over the top in celebrating his 18th.
