Record Breakers. Dedication, its what you need.

A New Yorker decided he wanted to beat a record. An honourable goal, and one to be applauded. Upon deciding that he wanted to beat the record to squat thrusts performed in under a minute, he decided that this was not good enough. Perhaps a change of scenery would be in order. How about, say, on the back of an elephant... Hmmmm, maybe... In Thailand. That's more like it.

Now I'm not one to nit pick, but why, oh why is this to be applauded? Sure enough, the man beat the record - if one ever existed. But is this really the way to get your name in the Guinness Book of Records?

Ashrita Furman is a 52 year old New Yorker, who has 54 bizarre records to his name. Amongst these he includes, the fastest mile balancing a cue on one finger. Surely he must put that on his CV. That's a life skill that is. They don't teach you that at school. Another, and this is my favourite, is the fastest 11 yards - yes, a whole 11 yards! - on a space hopper. The man is a genius...

I think in light of this, we need to have a bizarre record here a the Morningstarr*. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this can be? We can call this the "Morningstarr* dedicated breakers" - because, dedication... its all you need.

Possibly the most number of users to be naked at any one time... The largest intake of breath at the same time... Oohhh, ooohhh, oohhh, maybe, the most posts made with one hand... (I don't want to know what you're doing with your other hand)

Of course, these need to be new records, as then we can be the first to have a crack at the record. Doing one that's been done before, what's the fun in that. Please Note: Clean suggestions only...

Aaaahhhh, if Roy Castle - God rest his tap-dancing little feet - he'd be so proud.

May I suggest that before anyone laughs at these feats, they first tell the world about the records that they themselves hold or have broken?
And I don't mean record discs!
