Much as I detest capital punishment I am glad to hear that convictions are still being sought in this matter.

I think we've gotten too soft on criminals. Faced with execution, a lot of would-be murderers would rethink their actions. Most murders, at least around here, happen in inner city areas where the difference between jail and freedom is that you eat better in jail. Living a life out in jail would be perfectly acceptable for a lot of impoverished people. Also, I think executions should be acceptable for people arrested for child molestation and multiple rape convictions. Weed out the garbage of society. Natural selection in the hands of the people. Obvious cases that are exceptions involve severe mental instability. But for the most part, do it fast and do it cheap.
