A gang of youths in Gloucestershire have forced a python to attack a 14 year old boy in what police are calling a racially motivated attack.

To be honest, it sounds like kids cocking about.

A four foot python isn't going to do you much harm, they were clearly pulling his leg.

They're nothing to be afraid of are they Freeby, I doubt that the snake even bit this lad. It sounds very dubious.

Then again, the paramedics clearly saw evidence of a snake bite ...

The report says there were two puncture wounds, but that doesn't sound like the bite of a non-venomous snake. Python's don't have two extended fangs to inject their venom, as they don't have venom. A python's mouth is lined with teeth, two puncture wounds sounds unlikely to me.

Maybe ... but the fact remains that the kid that was bitten did not know anything about the snake ... Had it been kids mucking about, he would have known about the snake ... it was his panic that led to the breathlessness and the paramedics being called.

Kids cry wolf all the time, you don't have to be a great actor to pretend you're short of breath.
