Deadly Spiders In South of France
Don't want to worry you or anything A_B, but apparently there are deadly brown recluse spiders found in France nowadays. A bloke in Orange nearly died after one bit him.

Re: Deadly Spiders In South of France
The brown recluse is usually found in the southern states, towards the Gulf of Mexico.
And to be fair, they're not called the brown recluse for nothing. Apparently it's very rare to get bitten by one.

Phew! That's OK. We're going to the west. I'm not sure if there will be any there, but I know there will be some unusual wildlife around there, and in fact I am a bit nervous about it, because we will be staying in some out of the way places along the way. But I'm sure it will be fine.
