    It could be an escapee .... years ago, when the girls were little, they had a childminder who kept a tarantula as a pet ... quite fascinating creatures actually.

    I see ... You know, I used to have a dreadful time at the mere thought of spiders. I still cannot ever think about watching that movie 'Arachnophobia' without going all panicky .... but dealing with them in real life is not so bad now ...

    No, it isn't .... but you will get there when you really need to get there. It wasn't till I was left on my own with children that I realised I needed to address the phobia or risk passing it on to the kids. Sheer gritting my teeth and biting the bullet really ...
