This case is shocking. Steven Dale Green and three other soldiers gang raped a 14 year old Iraqi girl, then murdered her and her family and burnt down their home to destroy the evidence.

This kind of shit is not going to do the Iraqi/American relationship any good whatsoever. It's fucking disgusting, I don't see any excuse for this sort of behaviour.

Yeah, these things seem to happen a lot when armies are based in other countries. Very shocking. They should be severely punished.

We take young men, train them to kill and sent them off to teach the enemy a lesson. I agree it is shocking, I am only surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Yes, you'd have thought so wouldn't you. If they are taught any discipline it is to their superiors rather then self discipline as such. The noble warrior is a wonderful ideal but not one often found.

It is probably good things like this are at a minimum. Man in earlier times was more prone to rape during wars. Take the vikings for example.
