Witch -Doctor- Hunt In Tanzania

Due to global pressure the Tanzanian Government are trying to stop the hunting and killing of albino Tanzanians to sell their body parts to traditional healers. Their latest effort involves holding a national referendum where people can secretly grass on their neighbours.

What kind of an idea is that? It could lead to all kinds of trouble with false accusations being thrown around and fingers being pointed. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me, what do you reckon?

it's unbelievable that these people are hunted and killed for there body parts. how scary it must be to be an albino in tazmania.

i think anything that helps put a stop to this is better than doing nothing.

Actually, I agree ... anonymous 'rat-lines' are far too open to abuse.

Having said that, something certainly must be done about this danger that albinos find themselves in. But perhaps rather then anonymous 'rat-lines' they should start an empowerment programme for the potential victims as well as a mass education programme.

One of the truly horrifying aspects of this is that there are cases where parents and or other family members are involved in colluding with the albino killers.
