I am not being rude but what are the shipping companies and the owners of their cargoes doing?
The modern day pirates have the access to all the technologies going but a few well armed guards and a keep ALL Boats away from certain ships unless they are properly identified in dangerous areas (and those areas are getting larger and larger and will soon be unsustainable soon) and the piracy will be somewhat controlled. A ship the size of three aircraft carriers and a cargo worth 100,000,000 dollars and the ship cannot employ a small army to stay on each craft?
And where is the pirates bolt hole? That can be cut off both ways and to heck with territorial waters!
Somali hasn't a legal Government at the moment and until they do................
