Plus, I don't like any animals being taken from their natural environment, even if they are bred in captivity and no nowt else.

Yeah, me too. They had a thing recently on the One Show about parrots or summat and how to keep them from getting depressed. Well, don't lock them up in a cage was my first thought.

Snakes are pretty fucking stupid though, they don't need much space or anything. Providing they have somewhere warm to sleep and are regularly fed they don't need much else.

Don't stress them out and they're fine, and they're as good a pet as a rabbit or a hamster. I used to handle most of my reptiles and it was great.

I did have a pair of Tokay geckos though which could not be handled, they're only about eight inches long, but they think they're fucking dinosaurs! They'd have a go at anything, and when they bite they don't like to let go.

Lizards are fascinating. That's a really cool looking one.

I had a couple of glass lizards too, they're legless lizards and are really interesting.

I'm always fascinated when you see them darting about in Spain or somewhere like that.

Get a couple of geckos in your house and they'll eat all the spiders.

Your heating bills might go up though.
