I wonder how many people know that more US servicemen committed suicide than were killed in action during that period?

Does "friendly fire" , or "blue on blue" count as suicide as well ?

I remember chatting to a couple of Vets in Santa Monica many moons ago,and i said to them that it could'nt have been very esy to take some kid off the streets of New York or Los Angeles or wherever else,and put him into a jungle where the locals knew the terrain down to a fine art.
Both of them agreed i was right,but said that cocaine and cannibis was given to them every day,even by their bosses,so i quite believe many of them did commit suicide.
