Mystery of the 'albino androids'
First there were the "Faceless People" now it seems celebrity life has been invaded by the "Albino Androids".
The mystery men have been spotted at a string of events on the arms of some of the world's most beautiful ladies.
Impeccably dressed in black suits and black tie with white shirt, the men's heads are covered by a white mask.
The robotic-like masks are expressionless, with white eyes, a piercing stare, and white hair.
The androids were first spotted at the Venice Film Festival last month, when one of the mystery men caused a stir attending the premier of the new Coen brothers film Burn After Reading, starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
He accompanied Italian model and actress Laura Esposito, with the bemused crowd asking who the stranger was.
Earlier this month, the mystery man turned up to the Belgian Grand Prix with Miss Belgium Alizee Poulicek.
The pair were shown round the paddock and pit lane by one of the engineers, before posing for photos with Red Bull drivers Marc Webber and David Coulthard, at the after party.
Then earlier this week, he was at it again, this time attending the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2009 collection catwalk during London Fashion Week with actress Pamela Anderson on his arm.
The appearance of the mystery character is similar to the masked "Faceless people" who turned up at a number of events over the summer, including Wimbledon, the Henley regatta, and Elton John's white tie and tiara ball.
They were revealed to be a part of a publicity stunt for car manufacturers The Lotus Group, who were drumming up interest for its forthcoming new car, the Eagle.
