Something I meant to add to this thread but then it disappeared from view and I, to be perfectly truthful, forgot all about it. My Oma (Dutch for grandmother) told me that during WWII the Dutch used to eat something called Dakhaas (translation: roof-rabbit). This was in fact cat; and yes, she also said that it tasted pretty much like chicken

As a vegetarian I would never eat a cat of course but I do understand the point they were trying to make. I bet the cat had a better life than the animals who are farmed intensely and I bet the cat was healthier to eat as it would not have been fed dead animals, chemicals and drugs like factory farms feed pigs and cows.
