Rao Jiacang ~ The Man With A Hole In His Chest
This is Rao Jiacang from China. 10 years ago he had an operation on a diseased lung where surgeons cut him open, removed ribs and flesh and then left him with a huge hole in his chest because he couldn't afford to pay them to close it up.
Rao tries not to let it get to him, he dresses it himself meticulously with old cigarette packets and sticky tape.
As you can see, one lucky aspect is that the wound is on the right hand side of Rao's chest so at least his heart isn't exposed, right? Wrong, Rao is one of the tiny minority of people who are dextrocardiac. That is, his heart is over to the right side of his chest and his heart can indeed be seen pumping away through his gaping wound.

One thing is troubling me. The original operation was for a diseased lung. If he's had lung disease where the fuck is he getting all the cigarette packets to patch himself up? Surely he's not still smoking??????
