Channel 4 10pm Wednesday 2nd January 2008 and repeated Channel 4 10pm Monday 28th January.
What a weird programme. It started off with a woman who ordered a fake baby doll and when it came it wasn't up to her expectations so she basically customised the doll to make it look more err ... real.
It looks sooo real
Forget pimp my car, this was pimp my latex doll and some freaks were so into these fake babies they were even taking them out for family days and dedicating a room of their homes to them.
The art and skill that goes into making these freaky plastic babies is so high that they can even imitate milk spots and scratches.
Weird scarred baby
Apparently these living dolls are highly collectable but they don't look half as good on your wall as the full collection of Star Wars lightsabres. The mother of two who in her spare time tailors these dolls to your exact specifications openly says that she's not real interested in why her customers would want one but if the people who volunteered to be tailed in the Channel 4 documentary were anything to go by I'd hate to imagine what the ones who wanted to remain anonymous were like.
The only thing spoiling this show for me was I really really wanted to see a group of sad weirdos going to coo over a baby in a pram and being faced with this >>>
