Default Strictly Come Dancing pair Andrew Castle and Ola Jordan perform with broken feet

Strictly Come Dancing's Ola Jordan and Andrew Castle both have foot fractures.
GMTV presenter Castle has taken the blame for his broken toes and Jordan's fractured foot, which were caused during their gruelling dance rehearsals last week.

He said that his Polish partner sustained the single fracture to her left foot when he failed to catch her while practising the cha-cha-cha.

His injury was caused when he planted his foot in the wrong place during training, leaving Jordan's stiletto to slam down and break two of his toes.

Castle said: "They were both my fault - it's always me.

"We were dancing and we just clashed. She was demonstrating a move and the toes went crack. They're the wrong shape and they're swollen."

Of his partner's broken foot he said: "She was demonstrating a move and I was standing still and she broke it. I was supposed to catch her and I didn't."

Despite the seriousness of their injuries, the pair appeared pain free last night as they performed in round three of the BBC1 show in front of millions of viewers.

Castle put their brave facade down to adrenalin.

He said: "When you've got this much adrenalin flowing, in all seriousness, if I had a broken leg I wouldn't even notice."

The presenter's performances with Jordan, one of the world's top Latin dance specialists, have earned him high praise on the show.

But Castle, who has admitted to practising his dance steps at 3am, said that he does not think he will end up overall winner.

He said: "It's always nice to win but I don't think it's going to happen. I think Austin Healy is very good. In fact, there are about eight people who are excellent."
