Did anyone here watch the Showtime program called Dexter this season? It aired on a regular network channel here so we got to see it. I was instantly addicted to this really bad, sick, and evil character. lol. I appreciated his delusional thoughts which ended this season too. I wish I could get Showtime so I can view the new season this Fall.

i'm new to the show. I love this show! but i have a question, Is this show about Dexter being a serial killer that gets caught by the police and they let him go if he helps them kill the murders who get off scott free? I'm confused.

I love Dexter. So dark and twisted.

Dexter is an expert on killing because he thinks like a killer and he likes killing. But from a young age his dad (a policeman) was aware of Dexter's compulsion to kill and helped him channel that into helping the innocent. So, he works for the police (who don't know he has these serial killer tendancies) and uses his skills to track down killers, who he kills to prevent more innocent victims.

I like Dexter a lot. It bothers me that I can understand a lot of his thought processes. I have more emotions than he does (this is not hard), but I sometimes think it wouldn't be a bad thing to wipe out creeps like the people he kills. What darkness lives inside us.
