A rep from BBC America has supposedly confirmed that Torchwood is getting a fourth series.

Are you crazy! Replacing the leader with capt. John is just not right and I think Jack still have a past with this guy that he just didn't tell Gwen and the another team member's because he was not happy about. Also, Capt. John is not to be trusted because he brought Jack little brother around that cause so many death's. I think in end Jack will get over the loss of his team member's or meet with the doctor to convince him to go back to earth that people need him the most. And he will go back to his old self in time.

Russell T Davies has said filming season four could begin as soon as January. Still no word on who will be returning to the show.

God no! PLEASE. Keep John Barrowman out of it. Get a new cast. And writers. And change everything about it.

I thought I'd point out that John Barrowman did confirm that he was definitley coming back as Jack Harkness on Torchwood, season 4, on national radio, though I've forgotten which station.
