Vaporizer Gun in CSI: Miami

Watching the opening scene in CSI Miami three gun runners were vaporised with the Vaporizer Gun.

Does a gun like that really exist?

its called the metal storm made by a company in oz very cool they do a grenade launcher version too!!

Right thanks for that. Strangely enough, i did a search for dx-4 Vaporizer and it came up with drug references.

The writers named it after a drug.

This episode was just repeated. Anyway, at the end i noticed a plane had a blur on it's tail. That's the first time i noticed that.

in the 80s at an arms fair there was all talk about a vapourising Gun but contrary to belief no working model has ever been produced (there is a company that has been experimenting with the technology, believed to have come from blueprints taken from Germany at the end of the war! The Americans have them )

Forgot to say the rocket technology used by the Yanks was produced by German scientists who worked for Hitler originally and some of the rocket techs worked on the gun!

so you are not a mechanic but an Engineer!! yes that is where it came from but also from the so called UFO technology (if you get a chance just outside Nuremburg Kring there is an old testing station and you can see the towers and stabilising rings and if you are lucky a local will take you under ground to see what is left of the actual lab!!)
