My phone is running out of charge before the end of the day

Has anyone tried a higher capacity replacement battery?

If it's a Smartphone, it depends what crap you've got on there draining the battery. When mine isn't being used it can last for days, it's usually me using it that causes the battery to drain quickly.

I've not got a high capacity battery, I've just got a spare in case I need it, cost me 7 quid for two spare batteries from Amazon.

Is it true that batteries have memories and that you're meant to let them run right down then charge then right up the first few times?

Yes, that's true, although newer batteries aren't supposed to have that problem but they definitely lose their capacity over time. My iPad battery doesn't last as long as it used to.

If you have a spare battery or phone let the dud battery completely run out then put it in a place like an airing cupboard for a day or so then re charge and watch how long it lasts !! I know this works with the Samsung battery and also with the Acer Aspire lappy batteries! new lease of life!!
