    It's crap anyway. The human eye doesn't see things in pixels, so there's no comparison.

    The problem is that so much now is digital, and the eye is not digital, it is analogue. So it really comes down to how "grainy" the image ssmes, and whether you can discern pixels in the image. Added to this is that people's eyesight is not all the same. I read an article about retina displays the other day. It depends on so many factors, such as how good or bad your eyesight is and how far away you tend to have the screen. The upshot was that the retina screens are not as sharp as they could be. Once they get beyond a certain resolution then the picture will be as sharp as it can be, and I guess that is what they are aiming for.
