Bobby Charlton, for one, as he epitomises the rise of Manchester United after the air disaster. Daley Thomson and Steve Redgrave for sheer stamina. Pele for just being brilliant.

Only 2 ever that spring to mind immediately, Muhammed Ali and Lee Trevino, everyone else pales into insignificance, both were as much entertainers as sportsmen.

Ah, golf. More of a game than a sport really.

It's not my favourite either, but I do watch the Open each year, and the Masters if I can.

What about fishing? More of an inactivity than an activity.
