I had my last injection today, so that's the first stage over!

I'm not in any pain at all now, it's just sore, so I'm happy that I'm not taking any pain killers or anything. I seem to be healing really well, but there's still a lot of swelling and bulging. I read it can last about a year. It gets bad the more I do and the more the day goes on. The other day I climbed a few steps in a shop and felt a bit funny, a lady who worked there saw me and came over and asked if I wanted her to get me a chair and rubbed her belly, she obviously thought I was pregnant.

    Here's how it's looking...

I'm not sure where my belly button is, I don't want to go poking around in there just yet.

I've got an appointment with the surgeon at the hospital for two weeks today, so that's when I'll get the histology results and find out if that's it or if I'm going to need any more treatment. Then I've got another appointment with the man who put the stent in for three months time. If I don't need any more treatment, it'll be taken out. It's fine to leave it in for a year though.

If I'm lucky and for some reason that's it, I'm instantly booking flights to spend christmas with the in-laws!

    I'm okay!

I've just got the results back and there's nothing at all to worry about. The tumor was coming from a muscle in my back and they got it all and don't expect it to come back. I probably have to have another CT scan in a year just to be certain, but I'm totally fine. The nice thing was the surgeon, who is the loveliest man in the world, also topped it off by saying 'it's good news for me as well because I don't like having to tell someone so young they have cancer'. Me being called young!

There was a medical term for it but I don't have a clue what he said. He did say it was rare, but most things end up being classed as rare. I didn't realise but they took a lot of photos while the operation was going on, I've not seen them but he asked if I'd like to see the tumor. He's checking that he's allowed and then he's going to email some over if he can. He assumed I didn't want to see any of me cut open, but to be honest I don't think that would bother me.

I'll put them in spoilers if he is allowed to send me them.

I've still got the stent in and it needs to be taken out at some stage. That's going to be done while I'm awake, so I'm not looking forward to that, but it's minor really.

Well you're young compared to some of us and probably younger than most people who get cancer. Anyway, that's great news and it must be like a great weight off your shoulders, and your family's.
