I've got a cracker of a wind up by Robin Galloway on someone at Rangers... Robin is pretending to be a football agent on the hunt for Barry Ferguson and tells the Rangers dude that the deal for Fergie is £1000 a week salary!.. a pair of Dutch Nike clogs

And a windmill for Ferguson to live in!

    Funny as fcuk man!

I canny remember what cd I have it on or where it is, and I can't even mind the name of that wind up, so can't find it on YouTube, no matter what I search under, maybe someone else will find it?..

Well worth a listen folks... one of the best!

    Football Adnan Januzaj

How will Louis van Gaal utilise Adnan Janujaz? VvG has been accused of blanking the Belgian wonderkid and making him play against MK Dons when he was not fit enough. How greatly does he rate the lad that was given his full league debut (scoring twice!) by David Moyes last year? Seems like Real Madrid may be bidding for him soon but surely Man Utd should keep hold of him. Or will LvG take £23m+ ?

Exclusive: Real Madrid Prepare £23m Bid for Man United Teenager | CaughtOffside.com

    From ESPN:

709213 - Louis van Gaal - saviour of Man United ?

In recent weeks, Januzaj has had to content himself with life in the under-21s, for whom he scored a hat-trick before the international break, and life on the bench at Old Trafford. It is not the progress he would have hoped for after being the saving grace of United's season and a World Cup call-up with Belgium.

The general assumption is that Januzaj is vying with Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata for the spot behind strikers Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie. "He is competing with some very good players" said manager Louis van Gaal recently when asked why he had not given the youngster more playing time. No kidding.

That seems fair enough, but a look at the form of those players suggests this could be Januzaj's week to hit the first team. Rooney continues his suspension which, most would assume, puts Januzaj head-to-head with Juan Mata on Monday night.

However, Van Persie has been far from convincing recently and the Netherlands have just been historically humbled by Iceland. The talismanic striker's performance was so bad midweek that one Icelandic commentator was moved to describe him as "non-existent."

What's more, Falcao has just travelled a great distance for the match against Canada and has not hit full match fitness yet. United's Argentinians, Marcos Rojo and Angel Di Maria, travelled as far as China for a friendly against Hong Kong and could understandably suffer for the journey.

Mata was not called into action for Spain and should theoretically be fresh for the upcoming fixtures. However, Van Gaal is rumoured to be dubious about the Spaniard's worth, and he hasn't taken his chance to replace Rooney with the gusto expected.

Mata's numbers are good, though. This season he has scored twice and provided one assist in his five games. Januzaj has had minimal impact in the four times he has taken the pitch.

In his defence, Januzaj has not been handed the starting berths Mata has enjoyed and, when he has been on the pitch, he has offered more dynamism than anybody else other than Di Maria.

Nonetheless, United look a bit short on front men with a full tank under the bonnet after the internationals, and United have far from a settled team. Given those circumstances, Januzaj could find himself anywhere in the front four if Van Persie or Falcao find themselves rested.

The manager was keen to point out that none of the players returned injured from the international break and that the recent crisis had diminished to just four in sickbay. Antonio Valencia, one of those four, has been a consistent starter, and Januzaj could be realistically deployed on the right against West Brom.

It is entirely possible that Van Gaal could pull another tactical rabbit out of the hat, and West Brom will not be an obliging opponent. Last season they beat United at Old Trafford, and this fixture finished 5-5 two years ago.

    -------------

It's not going great for LvG, eh.

Since the resumption of the Premier League after the last international break, United have yet to win or take the lead in three games. Granted, two of those opponents featured in last season's eventual top three, but these games against Chelsea and Manchester City have shown that this team is taking forwards and backwards steps in relatively equal measure.

Yes, the grit shown even with a numerical disadvantage was heartening, but Chris Smalling's senseless bookings and subsequent red card made an already difficult occasion all the more difficult to manage. Far too often, United are undermining themselves by making poor defensive decisions that put them on the back foot, and until these all-too frequent lapses are banished, progress will continue to be slow.

If anything, a result like this casts even further negativity onto those defeats to Swansea and Leicester, or the dour draws against Sunderland and Burnley. Had United picked up a few more wins from those situations then the outlook would be a shade brighter. As such, a sending off borne of foolishly blocking Joe Hart's goal kick and sliding in on James Milner, looks just as Van Gaal said; "stupid."
Chris Smalling Madness Shouldn't Detract from Manchester United Progress

Why is it all going so not very well in the clubs worst start for 28 years?

Already without injured defensive trio Phil Jones, Jonny Evans & Rafael, United lost Marcos Rojo (dislocated shoulder) in the match v Citeh and RvP seemed a bit lost on his own up front too often.

Premier League Re: Louis van Gaal - saviour of Man United ?

    By Chris Bevan, BBC:

Perhaps predictably, Louis van Gaal delivered the best line of the day as he reflected on how his side survived an early storm to beat Arsenal 2-1.

But there was nothing expected about the way his Manchester United side claimed their first away win of the season.

"If Arsenal had scored in the first 20 minutes then it is a different game," said the United boss. "And then maybe I have to respond to all the questions asking why I chose the three centre-backs. But now I can laugh."

The joke ended up being on Arsenal's attacking players rather than the unlikely trio of defenders that Van Gaal had picked - Chris Smalling, Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair - who surprisingly held out until Olivier Giroud's ferocious strike in stoppage time.

    Football Unlucky ?

Louis van Gaal: Manchester United do not have a 20-goal striker | Football | The Guardian

Manager has Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney on books

Louis van Gaal disappointed with his striking options at Old Trafford

Louis van Gaal admits that, despite having a £100m frontline, Manchester United do not have a striker who can score 20 goals this season. The manager puts the inability of Radamel Falcao or Robin van Persie to do so down to bad luck.

Falcao, whose total cost if a permanent deal is done with Monaco would be £50m, has four goals; Van Persie, signed for £24m, has 10 goals; Wayne Rooney (£26m), nine goals; and James Wilson, Van Gaal’s homegrown fourth forward, two.

United sit fourth, 13 points behind the leaders, Chelsea, and eight adrift of Manchester City. Asked if the difference between United and the two title favourites is that they boast superior strikers, the manager said: “It is true because I cannot deny it – Robin van Persie cannot deny it, Falcao cannot deny it and Rooney is not playing there much any more. We cannot deny that, at this moment, we don’t have a striker who scores 20 goals in the season.

“This does not tell [us] anything about next year. They could be having an unlucky year and I have to decide, with my staff, if it is [this] or other aspects.”

Looks like Man Utd will have a top-four finish nailed.
