cctvappeal - Hipsters attacked on London train

A young couple ended up in hospital after being attacked by a violent trio on a London train.

The man, 21, and his 22-year-old girlfriend, were left "badly hurt" and "very upset" following the shocking assault.

They had boarded the 9.56pm service to Dartford at Charing Cross station when a group got on the train at either Waterloo East or London Bridge and sat close by.

They were then hit by three members of the group in what police are describing as "a violent and sustained attack".

Detectives have released CCTV images of two men and a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened shortly after 10pm on Saturday, April 5.

Pc Jason Weston-Collinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a nasty assault which left the victims badly hurt and, understandably, very upset.

"I am determined to catch those responsible and bring them to justice."
