    Default Batch/bulk cooking question

Does anyone make foods to freeze to use later?

I've done a bit of it but i'm not a regular. I've made chilli, soup, curry sauce/paste and shepherds pie but that's about it.

I'm after ideas of stuff that I can make to eat but double up the portion so I can freeze one for a day that I work late.

lasagna, mince meat and gravy, stewed steak with gravy, stews in general...

I think all the other stuff I do has already been mentioned. Anything with a sauce/gravy freezes well.

Good idea Del, I might give the beef a go but the veg won't go down well here.

Oh, reminds me, is this okay to do? Someone told me that they cooked a roast of beef, sliced it up and then froze the slices. The person was about 108 so I don't know if it's alright to do that or if it's a proper salmonela magnet.
