No more Celeb Big Brother

Channel 4's head of programming Julian Bellamy has confirmed that next years Celebrity Big Brother will not now go ahead.
Bellamy said a process of "creative renewal" was the reason behind the decision and then said it would free up to 30 hours of 9pm programming for "the new and the exciting."
He characterised the decision as a "public service" and said: "If we wanted to take the easy path we'd recommission all of these shows and we'd probably do two series of Celebrity Big Brother if ratings were all we were after. These are the decisions of a public service broadcaster in search of the new and the exciting."

Although Channel 4 are currently in talks with Endemol to broadcast an experimental version of Big Brother.

This is great news. We won't have to suffer Paris Hilton after all!
