Mosley managed to win his court battle. He was awarded £60,000 and on top of that The News of the World had to pay around £850,000 in costs.
The payout is pretty meaningless to the likes of Mosley and NOTW, but he seems happy with his victory. So what do you make of it?
I've mixed opinions on this, on one hand I think what someone does in private is really their own business unless it's criminal. The News of the World have kicked up a right stink saying the acts were "depraved" and that Mosley acted with "serious impropriety", here's their full statement:

I mean really, it's none of their munching business how he behaves. They're trying to take some sort of moral high ground when everyone knows they only ran the story for pure titillation, nothing wrong with that but they could at least be honest about it.
The case seems to have hung on the proof that Nazism was somehow involved. Again, I don't see what difference it makes to be honest and it seems they were wrong anyway the nobs.
Yet at the same time I can't help feeling that this is yet more unwanted censorship. Mosley's not won any huge victory here as far as I can see, his marriage is in trouble now and all he's "proved" is he isn't a Nazi. Although he might be for all we know.
The bottom line is Mosley should've known better, he has to take responsibility for his actions and if you're a high ranking figure in society you really should take more care where you have your orgies.
