Default Eric Idle & Shrek III

Sorry if I missed a thread about this when I searched, but has anybody heard what happened after Eric Idle accused the makers of Shrek III of ripping off the "coconut/horse hooves" gag?

I remember hearing he was mad about it.

In Shrek III the coconuts are part of sound effects in a play within the movie, which I suppose would be different from their use in Holy Grail from a legal point of view?

I mean because in Holy Grail there's no practical reason for them in the story, right?
