Actor Patrick Swayze has been given the go ahead by Doctors so he can film a new TV series called The Beast.
He had been treated by pancreatic cancer.
The series will be on A&E

Actor Patrick Swayze has said that undergoing chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer was "hell on wheels". It is must be really painful to undergo chemotherapy treatment.

He's lucky to still be alive, the recovery rate for pancreatic cancer is very low.

That must be why some people refuse treatment. If there's a choice between 6 months of living as you are and dying slowly or 12 months of invasive horrible treatment and then dying anyway i'm not sure which I'd pick.

If I am ever diagnosed with cancer, I will most likely refuse treatment in favor of good, palliative care.
I am starting to believe that the treatment is what truly eats people alive, as opposed to the disease's running its own course.
I could be wrong, though.
