ok, just saw it on CNN, so I guess it must be official. They said that they denied him only having weeks to live, but he is dealing with cancer. To bad.

Apparently pancreatic cancer is difficult to detect and when they finally do most people are given about a year to live because it's spread so much.

i have been watching the news while working all morning and now they are reporting the story in regular rotation. well lets hope that he lives as long as possible.

omg I love patrick swayze, what a fookin shame. I loved him in of course Dirty Dancing, my favourite film has got to be Point Break as it stars my other sex god Keanu Reeves. Does anyone ever remember the film Red Dawn that was one of his earlier ones.

I mentioned not liking Dirty Dancing but then I hate most of this fairly modern dance movies. Remember I actually remember West Side Story, Singing In The Rain, Seven Brides and of course seeing Astaire in all those films of his.

I just read an article about Dirty Dancing and Baby. That was the female leads film name wasn't it? It reminded me - the differences in height of the two leads.
And that celebrity dance programme showed one dance move when her lack of stature mattered.

But she looked like a little girl against Mr Swayze - an Autumn and Spring romance. Fine it happens but I felt rather uncomfortable watching them - marvellous dancers both.

I will watch it again sometime soon and see if I still feel that way. I have just remember how different in height I am from my own partner and do not feel uncomfortable at all.

Although I did yesterday and am still trying to ascertain if someone is going to pay for said discomfort. I have to face her family soon. And my local hospital so far away and likely to be marginalised at the very least soon.

She is on their side - so I think they are safe.
