It's quite rare for males to have MS as it more commonly effects females but one thing that they do seem to have in common, I got told this from a specialist, is that they have a fabulous attitude to life.

If you've ever known anyone that is ill in any way but they never let it get them down, they never let it stop them doing anything and they rarely complain, that's what seems to be a common factor with people who have MS. Strange but true.

My uncle has MS. What you've said is right for him. He's very positive and doesnt let it get him down. Been diagnosed about 3 years and hes 60 this year

It's quite a strange (under the circumstances ?) positive mental outlook that they seem to have in common. We got told to watch out for it as people who have it often over estimate what they can actually do for themselves and they underestimate any difficulties or discomfort they might have. I actually like chatting to people who have MS as they have always been such a breath of fresh air.
