TV Pitchman Billy Mays Dead
He wasn't mentioned here before and I think he should be.
For anyone who can't sleep he was the person whose voice we'd hear on almost every TV commercial on at night. He'd half yell, half boom his voice and tell us how wonderful any number of products were. When his voice came on we'd turn the sound down, but by golly, there was something about him that was well -- nice.
He wasn't slick or pretty, nor did he try to be sexy. He was just a pitchman who wanted you to buy his this latest and greatest chopper, towel, cutter, cleaner.
To many he was just a big, friendly, nice guy with a big voice who would come into our houses late night and keep us company, showing us stuff to buy.
Not at all a bad obit, I think.
