Karl Malden RIP
The Streets of San Francisco star has died aged 97. So he beat Mollie Sugden at any rate. Well done Karl.
Also, at time of death his nose was approximately the size of a small piglet.

His nose was really like that? What else did he do?

My only friend through teenage nights,
And everything I had to know, I heard it on my radio'

Re: Karl Malden RIP
I'm a little sorry that Karl's nose was the thing that you've used to help us remember him by, He was one of this country's most talented actors. I knew that anything I saw a movie with him in it, that it would be worth my time viewing it.
He was able to do so many types of characters. He could be a frightening hood that would make your blood run cold. He played priests so many times and could carry the idea that he was a tough man of God so well. As you all can remember from "A Streetcar Named Desire," he could play a kind of backwards shy man who could erupt into violence easily. And though no one else might easily agree with me, but as a woman, I found him very appealing.
If you don't really know his work, I urge you to go out and rent "Streetcar Named Desire, On The Waterfront, and Gypsy," where you can see how really appealing he was.
