Oh NO! Not Mrs. Slocombe!
I think we are all unanimous in saying that she was one of the funniest woman on the telly. In fact I had never seen "Are You Being Served" until a man who lived in my building came around one day and told me about the episode of this great sitcom he had seen the night before. I turned it on the next time it was on and I couldn't believe it that such a show was so funny and written so well. Because it was so funny I even bought a special TV antenna so that I could get in the reception from the far away station that aired AYBS! I have been a fan for decades now.
Oh and Ms Brhams is gone too? She was another talented women who didn't become as popular as she should have.
Such talented people are leaving us lately.

Ms Brahms was Wendy Richard. She was in EastEnders as the popular busybody sour face Pauline Fowler.
