Not some sort of new super hero - The White Shadow - but he must where a teflon suit - albeit with his pants worn over it.

I was watching a TV programme on BBC Four on the making of the "Iron Lady". And her son gave us a rare - about seven word interview.

My wife and I disagree on HRH Thatcher's merit - so I assume I am wrong and she (Madge) is and was a good egg.

But I am reading a piece on SIR MARK THATCHER! I had earlier asked my missus why "Sir" and she suggested perhaps inherited from Margaret Thatchers late husbands title. Heriditary - male heir etc - do you call it? Carol Thatcher - Mark's twin I do quite like her public personae

I certainly will never deserve or want a gong but - cor blimey guvnor!

Sir Mark Thatcher? The piece is hardly flattering and may be totally untrue and spite on behalf of some people. That alleged and abortive coup on the African continent. Helicopters was it - being financed - allegedly? Okay. I am convinced.

He will still be welcome in High Society no doubt. But if it were Joe Blogs - would that same society be so forgiving?

The War Hero would have done for me. Then when we are done singing songs to the guys courage let us sit down and discuss what the hell his sexuality has to do with anything now he is a LATE War Hero?

Peter Tatchell was on crusade about William of Orange's sexuality yesterday - having a go at various groups he contends are homophobic - and cite William as their excuse?

I will bow to Peters greater knowledge - but I sighed and thought - try telling certain other groups St George may have well been at least dusky in hue if not out and out black and see how far you get.

But let us keep war heroes simply that please and to hell if America finds it an issue. In my opinion they are just plain wrong!
