Re: UFOs
UFO's are real...but so?
Until one lands in my yard and turns out to be an ET who says hi...it's not terribly important. Yet.

Re: UFOs
I'm sorry? Can you explain just a little Omar..surprised in not a positive way?
I'm practical. I see little point in being much interested in the tonnes of conspiracy trash that's published and even sold out there regarding aliens and other shyte without good proof.
Meeting ET myself would be good proof, don't you think?
So unless it happens to me or someone I trust, it's simply interesting but unimportant.
And I'd love to meet aliens..friendly ones anyway. Or even kinky friendly ones. As long as they ain't jellyfish related.
Edit: I just remember an old conspiracy theory of my own. In the last century stuff has happened. The rise of popular sci-fi, books, films you name it.
100 years ago an alien that didn't look human would have caused panic and/or instant slaughter attempts.
What would happen now? In many cities and countries-people will assume it's fancy dress, special effects, a stunt and similar. It would have to start shooting people or similar to cause panic.
So..the idea was to make it normal. ET's..just make them ordinary to most folks. Why? Cos they've been around.
Until I meet one, I'm saying it's still an unimportant nutcase theory that has some loose threads of logic in it. Don't forget you can make the most incredible things..seem logical.
I know. I also know what it's like to believe in some incredibly unreal reality-and I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong yet either.

Re: UFOs
I agree with karn. Some people like to believe in things, which is fine, but that doesn't mean we all have to. I have said before, there is most likely other life out there but it is more than likely so far away that they will be unlikely to be able to contact us let alone actually come here. Common sense tells you that.

Re: UFOs
To conclude that we're the only living specie in the universe is not only selfish but also - excuse me - utterly stupid.
I guess the size of the universe is hard to picture. I guess it's also hard to imagine that one day we will explore the universe and I don't mean in the primitive way we're doing it today.
We, a specie of only 200,000 years old, are the only intelligent form of life out of trillions of planets. Not too long ago, we were eating each other's parasites as a sign of mutual respect, today we're at the verge of space tourism. And tomorrow?
I suppose until CNN, Fox News, NASA or the government confirms it, it doesn't exist.

As you said... it's 'not important'.
Re: UFOs
If i may add to the debate and state that this is rare indeed. Albert being serious doesn't happen that often. I am somewhat of an agnostic personally on the entire debate but can see the logic and or reasoning in some of the claims and beliefs of both sides.
So having stated my position, the reason for my comment is simply this. Whilst i don't know much about ufo's i do know that in one portion of the video above, what we are seeing is an acquired target being tracked. Modern targeting avionics dont, wont and cant track tricks of the light. Whatever the onboard electronics were looking at and i'm making no claim to what that was either way, was indeed solid.

Re: UFOs
Well, I have never said that. People take my realistic view of the Universe and take it as scepticism. It is not. It is realism. We are a long way of interplanetary travel, let alone interstellar, and it would take us a lifetime just to reach the nearest star, which is "only" 4 light years away. The chances are that the nearest intelligent life is hundreds, if not thousand of light years away. Think how long it would take them to get here.
So, I have never said there is no life out there. In fact there has to be. But we know that life is one thing, intelligent life is another, and intelligent life that is in our neighbourhood is very unlikely indeed.

Re: UFOs
Ahh now one thing i can comment on with some authority is that there is absolutely no intelligent life in my neighbourhood whatsoever, my neighbour to my left sings one song and always forgets the same words, replacing them with a stream of laahhh de daahhh's. Laaahh de fuckin swear words would be better!! My neighbour to my right decided to take up hang gliding and forgot all about Bernouli's theory second time out, he almost made it they tell me, shame..Oh well the power was only off for five hours and they reckon he will walk again after a while and my neighbour opposite ran his own mother in law over for no apparent reason....apparently. Pity it wasn't that fucking moggie that has now taken to sitting on my soft top and it's fucking moulting, fucking cat hairs all over the roof. Intelligent life in my neighbourhood? Not fucking likely !
