Vets say it’s impossible - but to Chinese farmer Liu Naiying his birth is a miracle.

For Mr Liu insists one of his sheep has given birth to a dog

The 'puppy' has wool like a lamb but its mouth, nose, eyes, paws and tail look more like a dog's.

His 'sheep dog' even plays like a hound.

The birth has prompted thousands to flock to his farm in Shaanxi Province to see for themselves.

Mr Liu told how he found the unusual baby animal shortly after it was born in one of his fields.

‘I was herding the sheep, and saw a sheep licking her newborn lamb on the grassland. The lamb was still wet,’ he said.

‘When I went up close to check on the lamb I was shocked because it looked so weird, like a cross between a sheep and a dog.

I was a bit frightened, as I've been raising sheep for 20 years and had never seen such a creature.’

Yue Guozhang, a researcher at Xi'an City Animal Husbandry Technology Centre, said sheep and dogs were different species.

‘It's not possible that a sheep could become pregnant with a puppy,’ he said. ‘It's likely that this is just an abnormal lamb.’

It's just a sheep that looks like a dog, I reckon. Either that or it's fake.

It could be a "Chimera" which is a animal that has had its DNA spliced with another so what comes out at birth is some kind of hybrid!!
I know people will not believe this but Joseph Mengele actually used Monkeys and human sperm /eggs and did create a "Chimera " that lived for 4 days !! there are rumours the Russians British and Americans have also tried the same experiments as Mengele (covertly) but this is just hearsay(I hope) there was a link on "conspiracy theories" website but it has been removed!!

I'm sure that's just a myth Del. It's not possible as far as I know to do that. If someone has managed to do it was very hush hush and not official.

there is a book called "Blood of his servants" its about Peter Menton, Menton has allegedly worked with Mengele during the war (he ended up in Amsterdam where he domehow evaded prosecution allegedly due to what he had on Prince Bernhardt) he had written a book under a sudonym documenting the process the book was never published due to governments around the world putting the equivalent of a "D" notice on it! the scientists who were forced to work under Mengele were spirited away to the states and the programme whether or not official is said to have carried on ! there was a sci fi film called "Chimeron" which had a half human half ape as its main character in it . I do not personally believe it has been done but I can see it being done ! years ago we would not believe one tree could produce apples and pears from the same branch, but it was done at Wellesbourne research center near stratford upon avon ! so anything is possible(cloned sheep )
