North American Lake Monster Caught On Video

With most big lakes, people like to believe there's a monster living in them. The UK has Loch Ness and the Yanks have "Champ", the monster of Lake Champlain.

A keen eyed tourist caught something strange on video this weekend when he was visiting Lake Champlain in Vermont.

Bit difficult to tell how big the "monster" was. Nothing to give any perspective, but I bet it was either a turtle, or his mate in a wet suit. LOL

Cool vid. At first, I thought it was a turtle, like iconnect said, but if you watch the whole video, you'll see it has a longer neck than a turtle would. I do believe there are pleisiosaurs in Lake Champlian and Loch Ness, but I'm not sure if this particular video is a hoax or not. I'm surprised the person shooting the video wasn't talking at all. Very quiet for someone who is watching a sea monster swimming around.

One thing's for sure, the videos got a lot of people talking.

It's all very well saying it ain't no monster, but some people have tried saying it's a moose. There's no way that is a moose.

I agree about the lack of perspective, and sometimes it seems that you can see the length of body behind the head too.

Actually I kind of liked that nobody was talking over it.

I remember seeing on a Sceince show once that they found a little baby creature that resembles the sea creatures of long ago. The type that most people claim to see :-) I live on a small lake and there has never been anything like that going around, but it is something to think about. Ya never know!

Definately not a monster, but can be some other common animal.

Usually monsters are too sneeky to get caught on camera, I mean it happens once in a while, but not in this case.

Monsters are on top of the game, Nessie can probably shapeshift into human form. Dragon myths from china talk extensively about dragons and their powers.
