    How about burying it?

You could have a type of sacrificial mass in your garden where you cast out all the bad vibes and then say some nice words indicating a new beginning and celebrating your strength as a family. You could get a bit pissed and dance about a bit too.

The local parish priest would be happy to help I imagine and while he's there you can ask him where he kisses his choirboys?

I've all on to dig a hole big enough for a plant in our garden. The soil (if you could call it that) is too hard - it's like chipping away at rock. I'll give the burying a miss and just get p*ssed and dance about instead.

I still think some sort of ritual would be good. How about building it a small raft and letting it float out to sea??? Even better if you could do it by moonlight!

A ritual would be good for the comedy value (as long as it involved chanting ) - but it's my husbands dead mother...I think he wants to keep her in the garage in a black bin bag for the moment.

You never know though - the garage could flood again this year and she could be carried down the road by rain water - I could run along side it chanting if that happened.
